Meeting minutes for May 31, 2012

 

Meeting was called to order at 6:02 PM.

  1. We agreed to bypass the reading of last March’s minutes but the March meeting minutes were approved.  Mr.   has accepted that Ms.    is a board member.
  2. Mr. Whittle stated that we are $     in arrears and it looks like we might get caught up in 60 days.  Our Comcast bill is $     and the service should be cut off for homeowners in June 2012.  He stated that even though Comcast has no contract and we don’t have a copy of the contract, Mike wanted to end it in January 2012 but Comcast somehow says we have to continue until June.  Mike will call Comcast to see if they can reduce the bill to about $     because he had requested the service to be cut off in January 2012 and the bill is about $1,000/monrh.  In the meantime, we have and will not pay the bill or we will pay it in installments in the future.
  3. Mr. Whittle talked about the status of the foreclosures and the un-rentable state of some of the foreclosures.  We talked about not ever collecting all the condo fees.  Ms.   asked about the total recovery act to collect the fees.  Mr. says it is not worth it if the attorney fees are $10K when we are trying to recover $5K.  Ms.  says she will call attorneys to ask about fees and see if it is worth pursuing.
